Missional Field Notes

Quotes, Examples, and Ideas from My Missional Frontier

This I hadn’t really thought of before.

Most of the missional conversation involves “going out.” We’re getting the people out of the church into the community. We’re engaged in service projects. We’re trying to meet people where they are. It all seems so very basic.

But what if, for some reason, you can’t really “get out” and be “the church scattered” in the sense that we normally talk about it here? Well Lyli Dunbar offers some ways to be missional without ever leaving your home.

You’ll have to go to her blog for the full description, but this is a nice working list to get us thinking:

Start a Blog–that’s what she did.

Pick up the Phone

Write a Letter

Extend an Invitation–coffee and dessert can go a long way

Enjoy your Yard–Even if your front door is closed, sitting in the yard is an “open door” to conversation
