Missional Field Notes

Quotes, Examples, and Ideas from My Missional Frontier

This was over at the Verge’s “Disciplemaking Blueprint” course:

The “how” of disciplemaking is simply this: incarnational mission.

Incarnational means “in the flesh”. The key word here is “with”. It means that we’re with people, in their context, listening to them and being with them.

Mission comes from the word “missio” which means “sent”. It means that we’re a sent people – not a people how are comfortable with those around us not knowing Jesus, but a people who are willing to go out and be uncomfortable in order for others to become more like Jesus.
